Verkada in San Mateo, CA, is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for Growth Engineering. You will build AI-powered tools and backend systems that empower Sales and Marketing with reliable data and workflows.

This role focuses on turning new model capabilities into production-ready products across agent workflows, integrations, and data pipelines. You will own projects end-to-end, collaborate with cross-functional partners, and help shape the team’s technical direction.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of software engineering experience building production backend or full-stack systems.
• Strong proficiency in Python or a similar backend language, with experience designing APIs, services, and data models.
• Track record of independently owning ambiguous projects from problem definition through launch and iteration.
• Strong product judgment and the ability to work effectively with non-technical users and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Build applied AI products and backend systems that directly impact pipeline, revenue, and the effectiveness of Verkada’s go-to-market teams.
• Turn emerging AI capabilities into reliable product experiences, including agent workflows, tools, integrations, evaluation systems, and guardrails.
• Work directly with Sales, Marketing, and Operations stakeholders to identify high-value opportunities and translate ambiguous problems into shippable software.
• Design and operate APIs, services, workflows, and data pipelines that power lead management, attribution, automation, and other critical growth systems.
• Own projects from prototype through production, balancing speed with reliability, security, observability, and maintainability.
• Help shape the team’s technical direction and establish reusable patterns across applied AI and growth engineering.
