Qualifications

• 5+ years of commercial backend engineering experience in high-load environments.
• Strong knowledge of Go programming language and its advanced features.
• Strong SQL knowledge: schemas, replication, partitioning, sharding, and query optimization.
• In-depth knowledge of Redis and its data structures for high-load systems.
• Experience with Docker, CI/CD pipelines, Kubernetes or similar, and cloud infrastructure (AWS).
• Experience with synchronous and asynchronous inter-service communication, reliability in high load systems.
• Understanding of microservice architecture patterns and efficient client-server interactions.
• Proven ability to design and implement a full observability strategy (metrics, logging, dashboards, tracing).

Responsibilities

• Develop backend services for a grocery storefront, including catalog, categories, search, PDP, cart, and checkout.
• Work with large catalogs and assortments based on store, warehouse, or user location.
• Handle dynamic prices, inventory, discounts, and product availability.
• Validate cart before checkout with price, availability, quantity limits, and store restrictions.
• Support grocery-specific scenarios like weighted products, substitutions, and unavailable items.
• Integrate with catalog, pricing, inventory, order, payment, and delivery services.
• Onboard grocery partners with diverse APIs and data models.
• Ensure low latency, high availability, and resilience of customer-facing flows.
