Job summary

2K Games, Inc. is seeking a backend software engineer to design, build, and evolve scalable services powering our AAA titles. You will collaborate with game teams, product managers, and designers to turn complex requirements into robust technical deliverables.

Ideal candidates have 3–8+ years building backend systems with Go or Java, and strong knowledge of HTTP, gRPC, and distributed systems. Hybrid work, security, and observability are emphasized.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS or engineering or equivalent experience.
• 3–8+ years building backend systems and microservices.
• Experience with Go or Java and modern API design is required.

Responsibilities

• Improve reliability, performance, and security of services.
• Automate workflows and reduce technical debt while scaling.
