Job summary

2K is seeking an experienced backend engineer to design and build robust microservices and scalable APIs in Go or Java. You will own service domains, focusing on reliability, performance, and cost efficiency.

You will collaborate with product managers, designers, and game teams to translate complex requirements into actionable milestones, while applying best practices in security and compliance.

Qualifications

• 3–8+ years designing and building backend systems and microservices.
• Strong API design with HTTP and gRPC; relational and NoSQL databases.
• CI/CD pipelines and automation tooling exposure (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, ArgoCD).
• Distributed systems concepts and microservice patterns; observability.
• Bachelor’s degree in CS/Engineering or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop robust backend microservices and APIs.
• Own maintenance and evolution of service domains; ensure reliability and performance.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and game teams to translate requirements into deliverables.
• Optimize infrastructure and runtime costs for a seamless player experience.
• Drive refactoring and modernization to reduce technical debt.
