You will collaborate with leadership and a small senior team, making architectural decisions and delivering production-grade systems. Strong TS/Node.js expertise and cloud experience are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Deep experience with TypeScript and Node.js.
• Strong experience designing and building scalable distributed backend systems.
• Track record of owning critical backend infrastructure and making architectural decisions.
• Deep familiarity with cloud infrastructure, containerization, and infrastructure as code.
• Experience building highly available systems with robust monitoring and alerting.
• History of creating clean APIs and integrating external systems.
• Ability to collaborate in a small, fast-moving team while mentoring others.
• Clear communication with technical and non-technical partners.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain core backend services powering global payments and accounts.
• Own key systems end to end from data models to deployment and operations.
• Integrate with payment processors, banks, and compliance/identity providers.
• Monitor, tune, and scale backend services with high availability and performance.
• Define backend engineering best practices, coding standards, and patterns.
• Build internal tools and automation to improve developer productivity.
