HTC Global Services is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to design, build, and operate high-throughput backend systems that ingest, process, and serve large data volumes. You will work on distributed systems, data engineering, cloud tech, and API development to deliver scalable, low-latency services.

The role emphasizes real-time and batch data pipelines, storage-layer optimization, and secure, observable architectures using cloud-native infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required.
• 7+ years IT experience.
• 5+ years software development experience.
• Experience with two programming languages or deep expertise in one.
• Experience deploying and managing applications on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Experience with large-scale data processing technologies and big data platforms.
• Experience designing, building, and consuming RESTful or gRPC APIs.

Responsibilities

• Design scalable, high-performance backend services and APIs.
• Build real-time and batch data pipelines for high-volume streams.
• Architect and optimize data access layers across storage technologies.
• Create stored procedures, views, and query patterns for reporting/analytics.
• Implement data transformation and enrichment for accurate outputs.
• Ensure security, authorization, and secrets management best practices.
