Job summary

CBTS in Irving, TX seeks a senior backend engineer to design, build, and operate integrations between clients and MarTech/ad-tech vendors. You will develop REST and streaming APIs, and create tooling for marketers and analysts to work with data without engineering bottlenecks.

Collaborating with data platform, DevOps, and InfoSec, you will ensure secure data contracts, reliable ingestion, and scalable services.

Qualifications

• 5+ years building backend services and APIs (Node.js, Spring/Java, Python)
• 3+ years integrating third-party/vendor APIs and data feeds with authentication patterns (OAuth, IAM)
• 3+ years with data pipelines and stores — SQL and NoSQL, batch and streaming (Kafka/Kinesis)
• 3+ years with cloud services architecture (S3, IAM, serverless); Databricks/lakehouse a plus
• Familiarity with containerized tooling and deployments (Docker/Kubernetes)
• Ability to communicate complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate integrations between clients and third-party MarTech/ad-tech vendors.
• Develop REST and event-driven APIs and data feeds to/from the data lake.
• Create business-friendly tooling on top of the orchestration layer for marketers and analysts.
• Partner with data platform, DevOps, and InfoSec to land, secure, and govern external data.
• Translate vendor contracts and data specs into reliable, production-ready services.
• Leverage AI-assisted tooling to accelerate delivery while upholding quality.
