Job summary

Moss is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer for the Accounting tribe in Tallinn. You will lead backend development, collaborate with product managers and designers, and help shape APIs that empower finance professionals to automate daily tasks and scale the product.

You will work with Java/Spring, microservices, queues and REST APIs, write unit and integration tests, and participate in rollout planning. Strong English, a delivery focus, and collaborative communication are essential to succeed in

Qualifications

• Proven Backend Engineer with end-to-end project delivery.
• Proficiency in Java and Spring, microservices, message queues, alerting, reliability, and feature flags.
• Strong REST API design knowledge.
• Hands-on testing experience (unit and integration).
• Fluent in English.

Responsibilities

• Lead backend development to align with product requirements and ensure performance and usability.
• Collaborate with PMs and designers during project kick-offs for vision and user needs; refine UI/UX concepts and backend planning.
• Define APIs and collaborate with frontend to integrate frontend and backend components.
• Write unit and functional tests to ensure code quality.
• Plan rollout strategies and monitor performance and user feedback for improvements.
