Job summary

Rogo seeks a Backend Engineer on the Financial Data team to build the data infrastructure that powers its AI platform. You will design scalable pipelines, ingest diverse datasets, and enable reliable, low-latency data access for AI models and retrieval systems.

You will work across data ingestion, transformation, and integrations, collaborating with global teams to ensure data quality and security, while maintaining high performance at scale.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Computer Science or related field.
• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience building data-intensive backend systems.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience with GCP or equivalent cloud stack.
• Deep expertise in Python for backend and API systems; proficient in at least one strongly typed language (Rust, C++, or Java).
• Mastery in large-scale distributed systems design — asynchronous patterns, streaming, caching, observability.
• Strong command of relational databases and SQL; NoSQL and in-memory data stores.
• Experience building and operating large-scale data pipelines with high reliability and throughput.
• 3+ years managing or collaborating with globally distributed engineering teams.
• Exceptional communication skills and ability to influence engineering direction.
• Track record of shipping high-quality products in fast-moving environments with autonomy.
