Job summary

Salesforce is seeking a seasoned backend engineer to design and scale enterprise authentication and integration services. You will work with Google Workspace and Microsoft 365, build secure APIs, and partner with Product, Design, and Platform teams to ship impactful features.

You have 6+ years of experience, strong coding fundamentals, and experience with OAuth 2.0/OIDC. The role emphasizes reliability, documentation, and collaboration across Slack's Enterprise Productivity initiatives.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of professional experience building web applications or backend services.
• Experience with PHP/Hack, Java, Python, Ruby, or Go.
• Experience with OAuth 2.0/OIDC and authorization models, ideally with Google Workspace or Microsoft 365.
• Ability to contribute to technical architecture discussions and drive decisions.
• Understandable, testable, maintainable code.
• Strong communication across teams.
• Solid CS fundamentals: data structures and distributed systems.

Responsibilities

• Design and build backend services and API methods for auth and integration with Google/Microsoft.
• Own and evolve Admin Productivity Suite backend including pipelines and analytics.
• Collaborate with Product, Design, and Frontend to ship features and guide roadmap via data.
• Work across Platform, Slackbot, Enterprise Search, 3P Integrations on connectors frameworks.
• Contribute to team projects with business impact and maintain long-term health of systems.
• Write secure, well-documented designs and work with Security for reviews.
• Support triage and resolution of production issues.
• Mentor engineers and improve engineering standards and tooling.
