DICE is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to join our Engineering team and drive product development for fans, venues and artists. You’ll shape architecture, scale backend apps written in Elixir, and own production outcomes in a fast-growing live entertainment platform.

You’ll mentor engineers, participate in design discussions, and champion best practices in testing and documentation while collaborating across cross-functional teams in a globally distributed company.

Qualifications

• Extensive production experience with Elixir, OTP and Phoenix.
• Strong track record designing distributed systems at scale.
• Experience integrating complex third-party services and handling failures.
• Excellent communication and mentoring skills.

Responsabilités

• Architect high-load backend systems in Elixir.
• Lead technical discussions with PMs, Engineers and Designers.
• Mentor mid-level and junior engineers and review code.
• Identify bottlenecks in ticketing/event systems and design scalable solutions.
• Promote testing, documentation and maintainability across the team.
