Job summary

StudyIn is seeking a Sr. Software Engineer Backend to join one of our product engineering teams. You will design, develop, and maintain scalable backend systems powering our digital products, collaborating with product owners, software engineers, QA engineers, and platform engineers.

You will mentor fellow engineers, contribute to architectural decisions, and help establish best practices that support sustainable product development.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional backend software development experience.
• Proven experience with C# and .NET.
• Experience with RESTful APIs and third‑party integrations.
• Experience with relational databases such as SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or MySQL.
• Knowledge of scalable distributed systems and service‑oriented architectures.
• Cloud experience with AWS or Azure; Docker and containerised apps.
• Experience with unit/integration testing and code reviews.
• Experience in Agile teams and mentoring junior engineers.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services in C# and .NET.
• Build secure RESTful APIs and third‑party integrations.
• Design and optimise database schemas and queries.
• Ensure performance, security, and code quality with reviews and tests.
• Collaborate with Platform Engineering on deployments and CI/CD.
• Mentor engineers and contribute to engineering standards.
