Job summary

SolomonEdwards is seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer (Back-End) to lead backend development for our enterprise platforms in Charlotte, NC. You will build secure, scalable services, guide junior engineers, and collaborate across cross-functional teams to deliver robust solutions.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years of software development with C#/.NET, REST APIs, SQL Server, and strong design-pattern knowledge, plus experience with CI/CD and testing frameworks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, CIS, or related field.
• 10+ years of software development experience with advanced knowledge of C# and .NET.
• Strong understanding of relational databases (SQL Server) and experience with SSMS.
• Proficiency in SOLID principles and design patterns.
• Experience with Visual Studio, Git, CI/CD tools, and unit testing frameworks.
• Experience building and consuming REST APIs and tools like Postman.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with mentoring ability.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
• Creative, proactive problem solver with accountability.

Responsibilities

• Develop secure, scalable, and maintainable software solutions from concept to production.
• Support existing applications with troubleshooting, fixes, and upgrades.
• Lead feature development and medium-to-large initiatives within the team.
• Diagnose complex problems and drive resolution.
• Create and maintain technical diagrams, flowcharts, and layouts.
• Mentor junior and mid-level engineers through coaching and reviews.
• Perform code reviews to uphold high quality standards.
• Collaborate with QA, Product, and DevOps to ensure successful delivery.
• Stay current with new technologies and vendor packages for potential integration.
• Recommend improvements to enhance performance, reliability, and maintainability.
