Job summary

GoDaddy is hiring a Senior Software Development Engineer to help build and improve our Internal Developer Platform — a centralized system that powers how engineers across the company build, deploy, and operate software. This platform is used by 1,000+ engineers to manage everything from cloud infrastructure and application lifecycle to security, compliance, and cost transparency.

In this role, you'll own meaningful pieces of the platform end-to-end: designing, building, and shipping services

Qualifications

Backend with Node.js/TypeScript and API design (REST, versioning, contracts).
Experience with AWS (ECS/Fargate, DynamoDB, RDS/Aurora, IAM).
Strong distributed systems fundamentals (data modeling, caching, consistency, system design).
CI/CD and testing best practices (GitHub Actions, unit/integration testing).
Experience working in Scrum and improving product/process; curious about AI tooling.

Responsibilities

Design, build, and ship platform services used by 1,000+ engineers.
Contribute to high-scale API design, infrastructure orchestration, and metadata systems.
Build AI-powered developer tooling and agentic workflows.
Partner with infrastructure, security, and platform teams to integrate core capabilities.
Own production components—performance, reliability, debugging, and on-call rotation.
Mentor teammates and drive testing practices to raise quality.
