Job summary

Bluehost, part of Newfold Digital, is seeking an experienced Backend Engineer to design async APIs, orchestrate multi-agent workflows, and integrate provider-agnostic LLMs. You will own RAG pipelines, data models, and CI/CD, ensuring scalable, production-grade systems for AI-native features.

You’ll work on end-to-end architecture, guardrails for AI, and cost-aware routing, collaborating across teams to ship production-ready backend services with strong reliability.

Qualifications

• 5+ years building production backend systems in Python with async I/O.
• Experience designing REST or async APIs with DI and clean architecture.
• Practical experience integrating LLM APIs and AI-ready backend systems.
• Real experience with vector databases and RAG architectures.
• Strong relational DB skills: schema design, queries, migrations.
• AI-augmented delivery across the lifecycle with guardrails for data prompts.
• End-to-end CI/CD ownership and production readiness.
• Self-starting, ambiguity-tolerant, ownership mindset.
• Bonus: multi-agent orchestration frameworks and LLM observability.

Responsibilities

• Design and scale async REST/WebSocket APIs in Python with DI.
• Implement multi-agent workflows to route work among LLM agents.
• Integrate multiple LLM providers behind a provider-agnostic layer.
• Build and maintain RAG pipelines against vector stores.
• Design schemas and evolve ORM data models with migrations.
• Instrument services with logs, tracing, and cost/latency metrics.
• Own end-to-end CI/CD, tests, packaging and deployment.
• Set guardrails for generated code, provenance, and data prompts.
