Job summary

Walmart is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to lead the delivery of scalable, secure software solutions. You will manage full lifecycle development of services, APIs, and AI/ML components, collaborating across teams to translate complex requirements into reliable, maintainable code while driving continuous improvement and innovation.

The Creative Platform team builds Walmart’s self-service ad creator, supporting ad delivery across the retail media network.

Qualifications

Option 1: Bachelor’s degree in CS/CE/CIIS/SE or related + 3 years’ software eng experience.
Option 2: 5 years’ software engineering experience.

Responsibilities

5 years of experience as a Sr. Software Engineer.
Expert-level knowledge of Java and backend systems.
Experience building microservices with SpringBoot and Spring WebFlux.
Experience with Solr, Kafka, Mem Cache.
Strong understanding of JEE components, multithreading, and networking.
Extensive knowledge of offline storage, caching, and performance tuning.
Experience with cloud-based solutions and hands-on CI/CD with Git, Maven, Jenkins.
Strong CS fundamentals, data structures, algorithms, and problem solving.
Experience with generated AI/ML technologies.
Experience with NoSQL databases like Cassandra.
