Job summary

Bumble Inc. is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for the AI & Intelligent Systems team in Austin. You will design and build scalable backend services and distributed systems powering AI-enabled experiences for millions of Bumble members.

You will collaborate with ML Engineers, Product Managers, and Data Scientists to productionize models, build inference services, and deploy AI-powered features at scale while ensuring reliability and performance.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience building production backend software or distributed systems.
• Strong Kotlin, Go, Python skills, or Java-like languages.
• Experience designing and operating cloud-native services on AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Experience integrating AI or ML into production software, including model serving or LLM APIs.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable backend services using Kotlin, Go, and Python.
• Develop distributed systems and APIs powering AI-enabled experiences.
• Partner with Machine Learning Engineers to productionize models and AI capabilities.
• Design cloud-native systems that are reliable, observable, and secure.
