Thimble is hiring a backend engineer to lead the evolution of its Node.js/TypeScript platform, leveraging AI tools and agent-based coding to migrate and harden workflows. You will write production code daily, shape technical strategy, and help set patterns for the team while operating in a mostly remote setup.

You’ll work on durable, orchestrated workflows, integrate AI tooling at the center of development, and collaborate with product and growth teams to deliver reliable, scalable insurance

Formación

• Backend engineer with production experience in Node.js and TypeScript
• Experience building and operating distributed or event-driven systems
• Experience using AI tools to drive large code migrations at scale

Responsabilidades

• Design durable workflows and services; define boundaries, ownership, idempotency and retries
• Write and ship production code in Node.js/TypeScript daily; use AI agents as a primary partner
• Define reference patterns and templates for rebuilt services
• Plan migrations incrementally with tested rollbacks
• Instrument services with metrics, alerts, dashboards, and tracing; own incidents end-to-end
• Collaborate with product and other engineers; participate in code reviews and architecture discussions
