Job summary

Oracle Health Platform Engineering is seeking a Senior Software Developer to design, develop, and operate backend services and platform components that improve developer productivity and strengthen platform security and reliability. The role emphasizes scalable, secure services and on-call incident response in a leading AI-first engineering culture.

Based in the United States, this IC3 level position requires US citizenship and the ability to obtain security clearance.

Qualifications

• BS in Computer Science or related field.
• 3+ years of professional software development experience.
• Proficiency in Java, C#, Go, Python and building REST and/or gRPC services.
• Working knowledge of RDBMS/NoSQL and distributed systems fundamentals.
• Experience with source control, code review, automated testing, and CI/CD pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement backend services and APIs used by Oracle Health product teams.
• Deliver features end-to-end from requirement clarifications to deployment and support.
• Participate in code/design reviews and improve engineering practices (testing, observability, security).
• Diagnose and resolve production issues; participate in on-call and incident response.
• Collaborate with SRE/Security/Product teams and produce/runbooks/documentation.
