Qualifications

• Must have strong backend software engineering experience.
• Proven ownership of complex third-party integrations.
• Strong data modelling and schema mapping skills.
• Experience integrating APIs and external systems.
• Experience taking software through the full development lifecycle into production.
• Professional experience within the insurance industry is essential.
• Understanding of insurance workflows and data structures.
• Strong problem-solving skills with complex, imperfect data.
• Willing to work closely with architects and take ownership of technical decisions.

Responsibilities

• Own third-party integrations end to end, from requirements through production support.
• Build robust backend services supporting the pre-bind insurance workflow.
• Design and maintain integration patterns and API connections.
• Own schema mapping between external data structures and internal models.
• Work with complex insurance data models and workflows.
• Handle data transformation and integration challenges, including inconsistent or undocumented external systems.
• Collaborate with the Squad Architect on integration and data architecture.
• Take ownership across the full software development lifecycle.
• Support and troubleshoot production systems.
• Contribute across the full stack as needed to deliver complete solutions.
