Job summary

Commure is building the AI Operating System for healthcare, delivering autonomous AI to streamline revenue workflows and documentation. We seek a Senior Backend Engineer to own end-to-end AI feature lifecycles, from prompt design to production infrastructure, partnering with customers and internal teams.

You will ship production AI directly into core revenue cycle operations, with LLM-powered agents and copilots that automate claims and document extraction with compliance built in.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of professional software development experience.
• Proficiency in backend languages like Python, Go, or C++.
• Experience with Git, cloud platforms, Docker, Kubernetes, databases, and monitoring/alerting tools.
• Proven track record of end-to-end solution design and architectural decisions.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to technical direction of the RCM platform by improving architecture and tools.
• Build end-to-end products to revolutionize revenue cycle management for providers and administrators.
• Own end-to-end integration workflows from design to deployment and monitoring.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, and healthcare teams to define approaches and priorities.
• Improve system reliability with monitoring, logging, and alerting best practices.
• Optimize performance and scalability of web applications as the team grows.
• Work with infrastructure and backend teams to ensure high availability.
• Mentor engineers and drive architectural improvements across the stack.
• Lead thorough code reviews and uphold engineering standards.
