Job summary

FleetWorks is expanding its Chicago-based engineering team to build production features and integrations for a modern freight marketplace. You will own customer delivery, design workflows, and shape platform components deployed directly into real-world environments.

We seek a hands-on software engineer with 3-6+ years of experience, strong TypeScript/Node.js and REST API skills, and experience with AI-driven systems.

Qualifications

• 3-6+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Proficient with TypeScript, Node.js, and REST API design.
• Hands-on experience with AI-driven systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical delivery for customer implementations and workflows from scoping to production rollout.
• Architect workflows that mirror real customer processes and integrate with their systems.
• Develop core platform components and integration tooling to scale deployments.
• Navigate complex environments and data, designing practical, repeatable solutions.
• Provide field insight to product and engineering to shape the roadmap.
• Travel 20-30% to customer sites and work in-person from our Chicago office.
