Job summary

SimSpace Corporation is seeking a Backend Senior Software Engineer, Attack and User Emulation Team (AUE), to lead the evolution of our core cyber range platform. You will guide architectural decisions, scale distributed services, and mentor engineers across multiple teams.

You will integrate AI-enabled capabilities, design secure patterns, and shape the platform’s long‑term technical vision while collaborating with product and engineering leadership.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of hands‑on software development experience building large distributed microservices.
• 2 year degree in science/tech or equivalent experience.
• Deep expertise in Java or Kotlin and API design.
• Production experience with Kubernetes, Docker, Spring Boot.
• Experience integrating AI/LLM capabilities and agent systems is a plus.
• Strong cybersecurity domain context and fault-tolerant systems.

Responsibilities

• Architect, design, and deliver scalable microservices for cyber range simulations.
• Lead AI-enabled services coordination and autonomous workflows.
• Collaborate with product, design, and leadership on roadmaps and milestones.
• Drive reliability, performance tuning, and API design best practices.
• Mentor engineers and lead design reviews and code reviews.
• Implement observability, telemetry, and zero-downtime deployments.
• Embed security and compliance in SDLC and system design.
• Create ADRs and architectural docs to share long‑term guidance.
