Job summary

Qualifyze is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to join our Engineering team. You will be part of a growing team of over 50 engineers and data professionals, shaping scalable backend systems and maintaining high quality across services.

You will work in an international environment with English as the daily language, focusing on clean architecture, testing, and domain-driven design to deliver real value. The role offers a hybrid working mode and competitive compensation.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in Java/Springboot.
• Experience with PostgreSQL.
• Pragmatic approach to technical solutions.
• Proficient in clean architectures, good practices and testing.
• Hands-on experience with event-driven systems.
• Nice to have: experience designing systems with security and compliance by default, in regulated environments.
• Daily communication in English in an international environment.

• Guide backend architecture, testing, and technical decisions across teams, ensuring scalable, high-quality delivery and adherence to best practices.
• Own and solve complex tasks within large projects, or lead small projects independently.
• Communicate and collaborate effectively with team members, DevOps, product managers, and design team; translate requirements into solutions.
• Mentor peers and support pragmatic decision-making, balancing business priorities with technical needs.
• Follow and contribute to the team’s working agreements.
• Work autonomously, taking ownership of stories and coordinating tasks.

Main responsibilities,

Salary

At Qualifyze, our salary ranges are transparent internally, and we aim to follow a similar approach externally. For this role, we’re happy to share a reference point within the band: the expected salary range is around 60.000€ – 70.000 €, centered around the median.

Final compensation will depend on experience and performance during the process, with some flexibility within the range.
