Job description

A recently funded US Based Financial Institution seeks an experienced Senior Back-End Engineer / Developer to be 100% remote. You will work directly with the senior leadership team to develop and implement their platform. It will also be expected for you to extract data from complex documents using advanced NLP techniques.

Key Responsibilities include -

• Design and enhance proprietary NLP algorithms
• Develop supplementary tools and interfaces to improve efficiency and accuracy in the data extraction process
• Execute backend tasks such as REST API development and database querying

Requirements

• Demonstrated expertise in Python programming
• Prior experience in a Financial Institution or Startup is necessary
• Comfortable with regular expressions and natural language processing (NLP)
• Skilled in parsing PDF and DOCX documents
• Strong capability in developing and maintaining ETL pipelines
• Understanding of data warehousing principles
• Experience with Postgres or other relational database systems is a must
• Proficient in version control systems like Git or alternatives
• Familiar with project management tools and Agile methodologies
• Preferred skills include PDFlib / Tet, GraphQL, or Lex / YACC
