Job summary

Xsolla is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to design, build, and operate scalable backend systems in a fast-paced environment. You will own services written in Go, develop event-driven architectures with Kafka, and run microservices in Docker and Kubernetes.

You will collaborate with product, design, and QA to deliver reliable, high-performance platforms powering gaming, payments, or commerce experiences, while optimizing performance, resiliency, and observability in production.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of backend development experience in Go or a similar language.
• Strong understanding of microservices architecture, distributed systems, and event-based communication.
• Familiarity with cloud infrastructure and container orchestration (Kubernetes, Docker).
• Solid understanding of observability, monitoring, and performance optimization.

• Experience with Redis or other in-memory data stores.
• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, or Azure).
• Familiarity with ClickHouse, Postgres, or other analytical/OLAP/OLTP databases.
• Prior experience working on internal platforms or developer-facing tools.
