Job summary

Utorg is seeking a senior backend architect to own architecture across two large microservice platforms. You will lead complex integrations with payment providers and blockchain networks, drive performance and scalability, and shape technical direction while contributing to AI-powered automation.

You’ll collaborate with Product, QA, and cross-functional teams, and participate in a monthly on-call rotation. Ideal candidates have 5+ years in backend development with TypeScript/Node.js, 2+ years

Qualifications

• 5+ years of production backend experience with TypeScript/Node.js
• 2+ years with NestJS in production
• Deep PostgreSQL expertise and query optimization
• Hands-on microservices experience with RPC/pub-sub
• System design experience for decomposing services
• Experience with complex third-party integrations
• Knowledge of AI-enabled workflows in engineering
• English at Upper-Intermediate level and Russian proficiency

Responsibilities

• Own backend architecture across large-scale microservice platforms
• Lead complex integrations with payment providers, card issuers, and networks
• Drive performance, caching, and scalable data queries
• Shape technical direction and influence engineering standards
• Contribute to AI-powered automation and internal tooling
• Maintain back-office dashboards and end-to-end feature ownership
• Collaborate with Product, QA, and cross-functional teams
• Participate in on-call rotation, roughly one week per month
