Vogo in Dallas, TX is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to scale our platform serving millions of users. You will own key backend initiatives, design robust APIs with Node.js and PostgreSQL, and mentor peers while shaping engineering culture.

Work hybrid in Dallas; collaborate with product and leadership; leverage AI tooling, tackle high-scale challenges, optimize queries, and drive releases end-to-end. This role values ownership, reliability, and distributed systems expertise.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of backend software engineering experience.
• Strong experience with Node.js and PostgreSQL.
• Strong SQL skills for large datasets.
• Demonstrated AI fluency in daily engineering work.
• Experience on high-volume, consumer-facing platforms.
• Understanding of backend architecture and distributed systems.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure (GCP/AWS) and CI/CD.

Responsibilities

• Design, architect, and implement robust APIs and services.
• Own backend initiatives and drive architecture decisions.
• Optimize complex SQL queries and schemas for performance.
