Climax Studios is seeking an experienced backend engineer to architect systems and write code for multiplayer experiences. You'll collaborate with clients and mentor fellow engineers, ensuring best practices are upheld across teams.

Qualifications

• Experience in game development and shipping multiple live games.
• Proven ability to architect distributed applications with a high user base.
• Excellent communication skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Architect systems, write code, and deploy solutions.
• Act as the engineering contact point between MPG and the client.
• Mentor and delegate work to team members.

Game development experience

Architecting distributed applications

Production experience with Java, Golang, C#, C++, Kotlin

Solid database experience (SQL and NoSQL)

Cloud platforms experience (AWS, Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure)

Infrastructure as code tools (e.g., Terraform)
