Job summary

Capio Group is seeking an experienced Back-End/Full-Stack Developer to join our Sacramento team on a full-time basis. The role focuses on maintaining and advancing an Investment Data Warehouse (IDW) with GenBI/AI capabilities, utilizing Snowflake, Redshift, and cloud ML platforms.

You will collaborate across UI/UX dashboards, data pipelines, and AI governance, ensuring scalable, secure, and cost-effective solutions.

Qualifications

• At least seven (7) years of experience in the IT field with extensive experience in report writing, data analysis, or database querying.
• At least five (5) years of experience in data engineering, data warehousing, or BI analytics.
• At least two (2) years of experience with ETL/ELT pipelines, cloud data warehouses (Snowflake/Redshift/Azure Synapse) and orchestration tools (Airflow, dbt).
• At least two (2) years of experience in SQL (advanced joins, window functions, performance tuning), data modeling (star/snowflake schemas, semantic layers), and hands-on experience with Power BI/Tableau/Looker.
• At least two (2) years of hands-on experience in containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes), CI/CD for ML/data workflows, monitoring and logging, and cloud automation (Terraform/Ansible).
• Must provide three client references from project work, with at least one supervisory manager as a reference.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain analytics dashboards using UI/UX best practices with tools like Chainlit, Streamlit, and React.
• Leverage Snowflake Cortex, AWS Bedrock, and other APIs to accelerate use-case development.
• Create automated tests to ensure accuracy of Text‑to‑SQL outputs and prevent hallucinated results.
• Guide prompt engineering and model behavior for AI/ML workflows.
• Prototype AI/ML models using TensorFlow, PyTorch, or scikit-learn.
• Implement semantic layers and dbt for data modeling and Star Schema designs.
• Manage CI/CD pipelines for ML/data workflows and ETL/ELT processes.
