Job summary

Borderless Software is seeking a Senior Back-End Developer to design scalable, secure backend platforms and APIs. You will drive architectural decisions and work on REST/GraphQL APIs for high-traffic products, with emphasis on performance and security.

This is a 100% remote, full-time role in the United States. Ideal candidates have 5+ years in backend development, strong skills in .NET Core, Node.js, Go, or Rust, and hands-on cloud experience with AWS and databases.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of backend development experience.

• Experience designing APIs and scalable architectures.
• Strong knowledge of security and distributed systems.

Responsibilities

• Design and evolve REST and/or GraphQL APIs for high-traffic products.
• Optimize performance, concurrency and memory management.
• Actively participate in backend architecture decisions.
• Ensure security practices (OAuth, JWT, Identity Providers).
• Design microservices, serverless and event-driven architectures.
• Build solutions on AWS using Lambda, SNS and DynamoDB.

Some of your responsibilities

Back-End Development

• Design and evolve REST and/orGraphQLAPIs for high-traffic products.
• Optimizeperformance, concurrency, memory management, and response times.
• Activelyparticipatein technical decisions and backend architecturedefinition.
• Ensure best security practices (authentication, authorization, data protection).

Architecture & Cloud

• Design and implement architectures based on: Microservices, Serverless, and Event-driven systems.
• Build solutions on AWS using services such as Lambda, SNS, and DynamoDB.

Databases & Integrations

• Design and manage data models in SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Optimizequeries, indexes, and persistence strategies.
• Integrate external services and third-party APIs.
• Define clear and robustintegration contracts between systems.

What we expect from you

• 5+ years of experience in Back-End development.
• Solid experience with at least one of the following languages: .NET Core, Node.js, Go, or Rust.
• Proven experience designing APIs and scalable architectures.
• Strong command of asynchronous and concurrent programming, performance optimization, and distributed systems design.
• Experience with relational and NoSQL databases (ideally DynamoDB).
• Solid knowledge of security (OAuth, JWT, Identity Providers).
• Proficient use of Git, version control, and development best practices.
• Strong analytical skills, architectural vision, and decision-making ability.
• Strong senseof ownership, responsibility, andresultsorientation.

Nice to have

• Experience with microservices and event-driven architectures.
• Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD.
• Familiarity with other cloud platforms (GCP or Azure).
• Experience with Blockchain and emerging technologies.
• Deep knowledge of SOLID principles, DDD, and Clean Architecture.
