Job summary

ASI Government is seeking a Senior B-1 Readiness and Sustainment SME to support the Air Force SPO at Tinker AFB. The 16-week effort will baseline readiness, assess data and integration, and design a minimum viable product with an implementation roadmap.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and eight or more years of DoD experience in aviation readiness, weapon-system sustainment, logistics, maintenance, supply chain, engineering, product support, or program management.
• Direct experience supporting the B-1 or similar AF weapon system in a program office, depot, operational unit, supply-chain, or sustainment command.
• Working knowledge of relationships among program management, product support, depot maintenance, field maintenance, engineering, supply support, and operational readiness.
• Experience assessing current processes and converting findings into a future-state operating approach with prioritized actions.
• Ability to define readiness measures, identify drivers, and connect metrics to data sources and decisions.
• Strong facilitation and executive communication skills for discussions with senior leaders and technical specialists.
• Ability to work on site at Tinker AFB and meet security and suitability requirements.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the team's senior B-1 readiness and sustainment advisor across fleet management, maintenance, engineering, logistics, supply, depot, and field operations.
• Lead interviews and sessions documenting current readiness processes, decision rights, information flows, constraints, and pain points.
• Help define future-state readiness management, including forums, roles, KPIs, rules, escalation paths, and routines.
• Translate operational needs into functional use cases, analytic requirements, data definitions, and acceptance criteria for a prioritized MVP.
• Assess readiness data sources, mappings, normalization needs, data quality, interfaces, and integration constraints with data engineers.
• Conduct root-cause analyses of readiness drivers using FMEA or similar methods as appropriate.
• Develop decision-ready briefings, process maps, requirements, risk trackers, and an implementation roadmap for SPO operations.
• Engage B-1 stakeholders across depot, wing, squadron, supply-chain, DLA, and enterprise partners to validate findings.
