Job summary

WoodmenLife seeks a Cloud Engineer III to design, build, and evolve the Azure cloud platform. You will own platform domains, implement guardrails, and deliver secure, automated solutions for enterprise modernization.

You will lead CI/CD pipelines, build automation templates, and mentor engineers within WoodmenLife’s Cloud CoE. This remote role reports to the Manager, Systems Engineering.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred.
• 10+ years of progressive IT infrastructure or platform engineering experience, including Azure.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Bicep) and scripting.
• Strong communication, leadership, and mentoring skills.
• Familiarity with Azure cost management, observability, and performance optimization.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and evolution of WoodmenLife’s Azure cloud platform.
• Own one or more Azure platform domains (identity, networking, governance, DevOps pipelines).
• Implement and operationalize cloud standards and guardrails.
• Develop CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and Git-based workflows.
• Build reusable automation templates and modules for self-service platform capabilities.
• Mentor Systems Engineers and cross-functional peers.
