Shield AI seeks a Senior Cloud Platform Engineer to design, build, and operate scalable platform infrastructure across Azure, AWS, and private clouds. You will develop automation, self-service capabilities, and tooling, partnering with Engineering, DevOps, and Cybersecurity to improve reliability and developer productivity.

You will own platform initiatives from design through production, contribute to architecture standards, and drive automation using Terraform, Ansible, Python, and Go.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in platform engineering, cloud infrastructure, DevOps, or related discipline

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate scalable platform infrastructure across Azure, AWS, and private cloud environments.
• Develop reusable infrastructure-as-code modules, automation frameworks, and self-service platform capabilities for engineering teams.
• Own platform initiatives from design through production deployment and ongoing optimization.
• Build and maintain container and Kubernetes platform capabilities, including deployment automation and observability.
• Develop platform tooling and automation using Terraform, Ansible, Python, and Go.
• Build standardized paved paths to simplify provisioning, deployment, and access to shared services.
• Establish and maintain platform standards for reliability, security, performance, and cost efficiency.
• Support capacity planning, performance tuning, vulnerability remediation, disaster recovery, and lifecycle management.
• Build and improve CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, logging, and alerting for developer-facing services.
• Troubleshoot complex platform and integration issues and lead root-cause analysis.
• Document architectures, procedures, and reusable patterns; evaluate emerging technologies for automation and reliability.
• Provide guidance to engineers and contribute to roadmap decisions; participate in on-call rotation.
