Job summary

AHEAD is seeking a Senior Technical Consultant to lead design, implementation, migration, and support of modern compute and virtualization for our clients. You will serve as a senior technical lead across engagements, translating business needs into secure, scalable infrastructure and guiding teams through delivery.

The ideal candidate has deep Azure Local, Hyper-V, Windows Server, and enterprise data center experience, with strong consulting, communication, and leadership skills.

Qualifications

• Five+ years designing or supporting enterprise compute and virtualization.
• Hands-on Hyper-V and Windows Server experience required.
• Experience with Hyper-V failover clusters and HA workloads.

Responsibilities

• Lead client discovery, assessment, and design workshops.
• Design, deploy, upgrade, migrate Hyper-V and Azure Local environments.
• Develop Azure Local solutions using Arc, Storage Spaces Direct, and clustering.
• Plan cluster deployments and validate operational handoff.
• Mentor teams and document designs, runbooks, and procedures.
• Communicate risks, dependencies and recommendations to stakeholders.
• Travel to client sites as required.
