Cayuse Holdings is seeking a Sr Microsoft Engineer with Azure/Intune expertise to design, implement, and support enterprise Microsoft environments. This remote-friendly contractor role focuses on cloud adoption, identity management, and security across Azure, Intune, and Microsoft 365.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of hands-on experience in Azure administration, Intune, and Windows Server, with strong scripting and collaboration skills to work with security and engineering teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 5+ years of experience supporting Microsoft enterprise environments.
• Strong hands‑on experience with Microsoft Azure administration and services.
• Experience administering Microsoft Intune and Endpoint Manager.
• Expertise with Microsoft 365 administration and troubleshooting.
• Experience with Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and Windows Server.
• Knowledge of PowerShell scripting and automation.
• Strong understanding of networking concepts, security principles, and identity management.
• Excellent troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and maintain Microsoft Azure infrastructure and cloud services.
• Manage Azure Virtual Machines, Virtual Networks, Storage Accounts, Azure AD, and security services.
• Monitor cloud resources and optimize performance, availability, and cost efficiency.
• Support cloud migration and modernization initiatives.
• Administer and support Microsoft Intune and Endpoint Manager environments.
• Configure and deploy device compliance policies, configuration profiles, and application deployments.
• Manage Windows Autopilot provisioning and lifecycle management.
• Ensure endpoint security, patch management, and device compliance standards.
• Manage Microsoft 365 services including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint Online, and OneDrive.
• Support identity and access management through Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD).
• Implement and manage Conditional Access, MFA, and Zero Trust security principles.
• Troubleshoot user access, collaboration, and productivity platform issues.
• Administer Windows Server environments, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy.
• Maintain server infrastructure, storage systems, and virtualization platforms.
• Support backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity solutions.
• Perform system upgrades, patching, and maintenance activities.
• Implement and maintain Microsoft Defender, Microsoft Sentinel, and security best practices.
• Monitor and remediate vulnerabilities across servers, endpoints, and cloud resources.
• Assist with audits, compliance initiatives, and security assessments.
• Develop and maintain system documentation and operational procedures.
• Provide Tier 2/3 technical support and resolution of complex infrastructure issues.
• Partner with engineering, security, and business teams to deliver technology solutions.
• Participate in on‑call support and incident response activities as required.
• Mentor junior IT staff and provide technical leadership on projects.
