Job summary

Salt is seeking an experienced Senior Azure DevOps Engineer to join a client project in Houston. The role focuses on optimizing build and release processes across Azure and on‑prem environments, with emphasis on security and reliability.

You will design and maintain CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps, manage self‑hosted Linux agents, and containerized deployments with Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm. Proficiency in Go, Bash, and Python for automation is valued, along with Terraform for IaC and CVE

Qualifications

• Extensive hands-on experience with Azure DevOps and CI/CD pipelines.
• Proven ability to design and optimize build and release processes.
• Experience securing pipelines and performing CVE remediation.
• Strong scripting in Go, Bash, and Python.
• Experience with hybrid cloud/on-prem deployments.
• Experience managing self-hosted Linux agents.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps.
• Manage self-hosted Linux build and release agents.
• Build and maintain containerized apps with Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm.
• Support release management across Azure and on-prem environments.
• Implement security and code quality tools like Mend, SonarQube, Trivy, Qualys.
• Identify and remediate CVEs across Go services, containers, VMs, artifacts.
• Develop automation scripts in Go, Bash, Python.
• Manage IaC with Terraform.
• Collaborate with engineering, security, and infra teams.
• Troubleshoot complex infra, network, and deployment issues.
