Applied Information Sciences, Inc. is hiring a Senior Azure Data/Databricks Engineer in the United States to build secure, governed data platforms and modernize legacy workloads for a federal customer.

You will design ingestion, transformation, and quality pipelines with ADLS Gen2, Databricks, and orchestration services, migrate Oracle data, and collaborate with business teams on data sets and Power BI integration.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in data engineering, ETL/ELT delivery for analytics platforms.
• Hands-on with Azure Databricks and ADLS Gen2 in cloud environments.
• Experience migrating Oracle data workloads and governance patterns.
• Strong communication with stakeholders and cross‑functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement Azure data pipelines and analytics foundations.
• Migrate legacy Oracle workloads to modern cloud data platforms.
• Develop data models, notebooks, jobs, and monitoring.
• Collaborate with BI teams on curated data sets and Power BI integration.
• Ensure security, identity, network, and access patterns for Azure Gov.
• Document data pipelines, quality checks, and recovery procedures.
