Job summary

Academy Bank, N.A. seeks a Sr Systems Engineer to design, implement, and manage cloud solutions, focusing on Azure integration and migration of on-prem workloads to the cloud.

The role requires collaboration with stakeholders to deploy scalable, secure architectures and to maintain governance across cloud resources. The ideal candidate will stay current on Azure tools and best practices, lead technical teams, and ensure high availability and cost optimization while supporting regulatory

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, CIS, engineering preferred.
• 7 years of equivalent work experience in technical operations, including networking, virtualization, identity, security, business continuity, disaster recovery, data platforms, and governance.

Responsibilities

• Develop and design cloud infrastructure solutions that align with business requirements and technical specifications.
• Create and maintain architectural documentation, including diagrams, models, and blueprints.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their business needs and provide expert guidance on Azure solutions.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to technical teams, ensuring successful project delivery.
• Monitor and optimize the performance of infrastructure solutions to ensure scalability and reliability.
• Implement and maintain best practices for Azure solutions, including identity management and data protection.
• Lead the implementation of Azure solutions, ensuring best practices and industry standards are followed.
• Identify and resolve technical issues related to Azure solutions in a timely manner.
• Continuous Improvement: Stay up to date with the latest Azure technologies and trends and continuously improve solutions and processes.
