Job summary

Artha is seeking a Senior Cloud Platform Security Engineer to own a large Azure environment, enforce security controls, and drive automation across data, AI, and platforms. You will lead security operations, IAM, and incident readiness while partnering with cross-functional teams.

The role emphasizes risk‑based decision making, documentation, and collaboration with auditors and vendors, with remote work within the United States.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of hands-on cloud infrastructure or security engineering experience, owning production Azure environments.
• Strong experience with Azure subscriptions, management groups, networking, Entra ID, RBAC, policy, monitoring, backup, and recovery.
• Experience with Terraform, Bicep, ARM templates or similar IaC, including testing and deployment practices.
• Practical cloud security operations, vulnerability remediation, logging, detection, and incident response.
• Knowledge of data governance and retention, DLP, and access controls.
• Experience translating regulatory requirements into technical designs and audit evidence.
• Preferred experience securing AI/ML workloads and agent-based systems.

Responsibilities

• Own the Azure platform design, configuration, operation, and ongoing improvement with standardization and change control.
• Maintain Microsoft Entra ID, MFA, Conditional Access, PIM, least-privilege controls, and secure access reviews.
• Operate cloud-security posture management, runbooks, dashboards, and incident response readiness.
• Develop IaC modules and automated testing, drift management, and deployment controls.
• Translate compliance requirements into practical controls, evidence, and audits support.
• Collaborate with Data & AI teams to secure data governance, DLP, and AI workloads.
• Ensure 99.9% availability, DR testing, and robust monitoring, alerts, and escalation paths.
