Job summary

Yoh, a Day & Zimmermann company, is seeking a Senior Azure Cloud & Infrastructure Engineer in Peachtree Corners, GA on a hybrid schedule. You will design, implement, and modernize enterprise infrastructure across Azure and on-prem, focusing on migrations and automation.

The role requires 7+ years in enterprise infrastructure, 3+ years Azure, and hands-on migration experience. You will own end-to-end projects, write architecture docs, and collaborate with security and operations to ensure

Qualifications

7+ years of progressive enterprise infrastructure engineering (cloud + on-prem).
3+ years of hands-on Azure infrastructure engineering experience.
Experience migrating production workloads from on-prem to Azure.
Strong background with Windows Server, Active Directory, virtualization, storage, networking, and hybrid infrastructure.
Advanced PowerShell scripting and infrastructure automation experience.
Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform and/or Bicep).
Strong knowledge of cloud networking (VNets, routing, DNS, firewalls, VPN, hybrid connectivity).
Experience implementing backup, disaster recovery, high availability, and business continuity solutions.
Ability to lead projects independently from requirements/design through testing and operational handoff.
Strong troubleshooting skills across interconnected infrastructure technologies.
Experience with enterprise security standards, change management, and operational processes.
Ability to produce clear technical documentation and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
Azure certifications (e.g., Azure Administrator Associate, Azure Solutions Architect Expert).
Experience with Azure Migrate, Azure Site Recovery, and landing zone architecture.
Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated infrastructure deployment.
Experience integrating infrastructure environments during mergers and acquisitions.

Responsibilities

Design, implement, and support cloud infrastructure (primarily Microsoft Azure), including compute, storage, networking, security, and hybrid connectivity.
Plan and execute migrations from on-prem to Azure (dependency analysis, migration planning, testing, cutover, and post-migration validation).
Lead infrastructure modernization efforts across server platforms, virtualization, storage, networking, backup/DR, and consolidation initiatives.
Build automation and Infrastructure as Code solutions to improve consistency, reduce manual effort, and streamline operations.
Deliver end-to-end infrastructure projects independently (solution design through documentation and handoff to operations).
Troubleshoot complex issues spanning cloud services, networking, virtualization, operating systems, and integrated services.
Ensure solutions meet enterprise standards for security, availability, performance, backup, and disaster recovery.
Coordinate across infrastructure operations, application teams, enterprise technology teams, and external partners to manage dependencies and execution.
Produce technical documentation (architecture diagrams, deployment procedures, and runbooks) and provide knowledge transfer to support teams.
Identify and drive continuous improvements in reliability, scalability, cost optimization, and operational effectiveness.
