Job summary

Atlas Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Senior Microsoft Azure Cloud Engineer for an onsite role in North Charleston, SC. The candidate will design, deploy, and secure Azure architectures with emphasis on DoD IL5/IL6 environments and Azure Government.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years of C4I experience, DoD mission environment exposure, and strong Azure expertise across VDI, Arc, ExpressRoute, and security controls. Relocation may be required for non-local candidates.

Qualifications

• Department of Defense (DoD) Secret Level Security Clearance and current SSBI/T5 investigation; TS/SCI desired
• DoD 8140/8570 Certifications for IAT Level II (e.g. Security+)
• 10+ years of C4I systems experience focused on systems engineering and cybersecurity
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, CS, or related field
• Experience supporting Navy C4I or comparable DoD mission environments
• Azure Government and classified-cloud engineering at IL6
• Advanced Azure architecture with Azure VDI, Arc, ExpressRoute, Firewall, Defender, VPN, RBAC

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, secure, and sustain Microsoft Azure architectures (Azure Government preferred)
• Design hybrid-cloud solutions with on-prem and Azure components
• Engineer connectivity: ExpressRoute, VPN Gateway, and on-prem network integration
• Manage internal networking: VNets, subnets, NSGs, VLANs, routing
• Implement cloud security with Defender, Azure Firewall, least-privilege and Zero Trust
• Administer Azure identity and RBAC including NIS tool integration
• Architect and support Azure Virtual Desktop, Windows/Linux VMs, and container workloads
• Develop Terraform-based infrastructure with Azure Automation; CI/CD pipelines
• Troubleshoot complex cloud, network, identity, security, and hybrid issues
• Produce architecture diagrams, implementation plans, RMF/ATO evidence, and change artifacts
