Job summary

Syms Strategic Group, LLC is seeking a talented Full Stack Developer (Cloud Computing) for a 100% remote role. The position supports the Veterans Affairs (VA) program and requires extensive Azure expertise, security compliance, and DevOps proficiency.

The candidate will design and operate cloud-based architectures, implement CI/CD automations, and guide cloud modernization initiatives while ensuring adherence to federal policies and multi-subscription governance.

Qualifications

• Azure cloud infrastructure design, deployment and governance.
• Experience with large-scale, high-availability cloud architectures.
• Proficiency with Azure services and security practices.
• Scripting for automation and cloud operations.
• Experience with IaC and CI/CD tooling.
• Monitoring, logging, and observability proficiency.
• Knowledge of HIPAA, FedRAMP, NIST, GDPR, PCI DSS frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Create data flow diagrams and cloud architecture diagrams.
• Design, develop, deploy, and operate CI/CD automation.
• Manage permissions in cloud services for each app and storage.
• Implement monitoring for cloud architectures and VAEC environments.
• Provide Cloud support for VAEC Azure environments and ensure compliance.
• Adopt DevOps mindset with CI/CD tooling.
• Provide cloud security provider documentation.
• Design VAEC/cloud-hosted solutions and address gaps.
