Job summary

Insight Global seeks a Senior Azure Cloud Architect to lead governance initiatives within a complex, multi-subscription Azure environment. You will own policy development, Terraform automation, and scalable controls while partnering with DevOps, security, and application teams to drive enterprise adoption.

The role emphasizes hands-on architecture with implementation focus, requiring deep Azure expertise, strong networking, and proficiency in automation scripting.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of infrastructure, cloud engineering, or cloud architecture experience.
• 5+ years of hands-on Azure architecture in enterprise, multi-subscription environments.
• Deep Azure governance expertise (Azure Policy, Management Groups, RBAC, tagging, guardrails).
• Advanced Terraform experience, including modules, remote state, imports, and CI/CD delivery.
• Experience implementing Azure Policy and governance controls at scale.
• Strong Azure networking experience (VNets, hub-and-spoke, private endpoints, DNS, VPN, firewalls).
• Microsoft Entra ID expertise, including hybrid identity, Conditional Access, managed identities, and federation (Okta preferred).
• Experience with Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and KQL.
• Experience driving technical standards and adoption across cross-functional teams.
• Experience working within regulated environments and formal change management processes.
• Azure certifications ( AZ-104, AZ-500 or AZ-305) and/or Terraform Associate.
• Azure Landing Zone design and Azure environment modernization experience.
• Experience with Databricks, ADLS, Synapse, Data Factory, and/or Azure SQL.
• Azure Backup, Azure Site Recovery, and disaster recovery planning.
• FinOps and cloud cost optimization experience.
• Experience with AKS, Azure Container Apps, or containerized workloads.
• Proficiency with Azure CLI, PowerShell, and automation scripting.
• Experience with self-hosted CI/CD runners and Entra Connect Cloud SyncExperience implementing security benchmarks and remediating cloud security findings

Responsibilities

• Lead Azure governance rollout across a mature multi-subscription environment.
• Collaborate with DevOps, security, and application teams to drive adoption.
• Implement and scale Azure Policy, reusable Terraform solutions, and governance controls.
• Balance architecture with execution to deliver standardized platforms across the enterprise.
