Job summary

Epitria Consulting is seeking a hands-on API Architect to own the end-to-end API layer for a Data Hub on Azure. You will define interface contracts, drive delivery sequencing, and lead the design and implementation of reactive Java Spring WebFlux services for data exchange and large-file transfers.

You will work closely with client architects and engineers, setting standards and proving them by building reference services, while balancing architecture with hands-on development in a 60/40 split.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in API, integration or backend engineering
• 3+ years owning API architecture and design at enterprise scale
• Hands-on with Java, Spring and reactive programming
• Experience designing end-to-end API layers and OpenAPI contracts
• Ability to mentor teams and drive architecture decisions

Responsibilities

• Own API architecture and end-to-end design of API layer
• Define interface contracts and delivery sequencing
• Develop reference services using reactive Java Spring WebFlux
• Design for large file transfer, streaming and resumable uploads
• Implement contract-first workflows and ADRs for decisions
• Ensure security, governance and data protection in APIs
• Collaborate with customer teams and lead technical reviews
