Job summary

Moog is seeking a Senior Application Developer to design, build, operate, and continuously improve enterprise applications hosted on Microsoft Azure and on-premises environments. The role combines full-stack development, cloud architecture, DevOps, and AI-assisted software delivery, with collaboration across distributed teams.

The candidate will work in a hybrid schedule at the Buffalo, NY facility, and should have strong experience with Azure, C#, .NET, Python, and distributed cloud-based

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or equivalent experience.
• At least five (5) years of professional software development experience.
• Strong experience with Azure (e.g. Functions, APIs, messaging, data services).
• Proficiency in multiple programming languages (C#, .NET, Python, or similar).
• Experience building or supporting distributed, cloud-based applications.
• Comfortable working in Agile/DevOps environments.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain enterprise cloud applications using .NET (C#, MVC, Blazor) and Java (Struts 2, Spring).
• Apply AI-assisted development practices and evolve engineering patterns for maintainability, test coverage, and security.
• Develop and manage cloud data platforms on Azure and on-prem, with schema design and migrations.
• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code (ARM, Terraform).
• Provide production support for time-sensitive critical systems.
• Collaborate with distributed teams, stakeholders, and security teams.
