Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a Senior Software Engineer (AWS/TypeScript) to design and build enterprise-grade microservices and modern web apps. You will work with product owners, business analysts, QA teams, and architects to deliver scalable, secure solutions for our client environments.

This role emphasizes hands-on development with TypeScript, AWS, Java, and Spring Boot, plus RESTful APIs, CI/CD, and DevOps. Remote work within the United States is possible; visa sponsorship is not offered.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience developing applications with TypeScript.
• Hands-on experience building and deploying solutions on AWS.
• Strong experience with SQL/PLSQL for data access and database programming.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop enterprise-grade microservices using Java and Spring Boot, and build responsive web applications with TypeScript, AWS, and SQL/PLSQL.
• Develop RESTful APIs and integrate with internal and external systems.
• Participate in architecture discussions and contribute to technical design decisions.
• Ensure application scalability, security, performance, and maintainability, writing unit, integration, and automated test cases.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines, support DevOps activities, and troubleshoot production issues to provide timely resolutions.
