Job summary

Akkodis is seeking a Senior AWS Software Engineer in Omaha, Nebraska to lead design, development, and maintenance of secure web applications and cloud services. You will mentor peers, drive best practices, and collaborate across teams in an Agile environment.

You bring 5–7 years of software development experience, strong JS/TS skills, React/Angular, REST APIs, OAuth 2.0, and hands-on AWS deployment, with a focus on security and quality in fast-paced projects.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years of professional software development experience.
• Strong experience building responsive web applications using Node.js, TypeScript, HTML and CSS.
• Experience migrating or building modern front ends using React and/or Angular.
• Hands-on experience integrating front ends and microservices with REST APIs.
• Experience implementing OAuth 2.0 authentication and authorization.
• Knowledge of mitigating OWASP Top 10 security vulnerabilities.
• Experience developing microservices using Java, Spring Boot, JPA, and Maven.
• Experience deploying and managing applications in public cloud environments (AWS preferred).
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and Git-based workflows (PRs/MRs).
• Strong testing experience using Jest, JUnit, Mockito, or similar frameworks.
• Solid understanding of Agile methodologies and the software development lifecycle.

Senior AWS Software Engineer – Omaha, Nebraska

Akkodis is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to serve as a technical leader, combining deep hands‑on engineering expertise with strong business acumen to deliver secure, high‑quality, and resilient software solutions. This position is ideal for an experienced engineer who enjoys mentoring others, solving complex problems, and working across teams in an Agile environment. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining modern web applications and cloud‑based services that are critical to protecting customers and enabling secure transactions.

Pay/Salary Range: $115,000/year to $150,000/year. The salary may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
