Job summary

Compunnel, Inc. is seeking an AWS Serverless Developer to design, develop, deploy, and maintain scalable serverless applications in financial services environments.

You will build APIs, implement event-driven processing, and ensure security, reliability, and performance across distributed cloud solutions. The role requires hands-on experience with AWS services (Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, S3, EventBridge, SQS, SNS, Kinesis, Step Functions), programming in Python/Scala/Rust, and collaboration

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on software development experience, preferably in financial services.
• 5+ years of hands-on AWS cloud development experience with serverless technologies.
• 3+ years of hands-on programming with Python, Scala, and/or Rust.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, deploy, and maintain scalable serverless applications using AWS Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, S3, and Step Functions.
• Develop APIs for brokerage/financial services applications with robust authentication and error handling.
• Implement event-driven processing with EventBridge, SQS, SNS, and Lambda for reliable workflows.
• Collaborate with architects, developers, analysts, product owners, and DevOps in an Agile/Scrum environment.
• Participate in code reviews, design discussions, sprint planning, and production support.
