Job summary

JPMorgan Chase is seeking an AWS Software Engineer III - Python/Data Pipeline in Jersey City, NJ. You will join an agile team to design and deliver secure, scalable data platforms and pipelines across the firm’s business functions.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of software engineering experience in Python.
• Experience with large-scale data platforms and data pipelines.
• Hands-on cloud experience and SDLC knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Executes software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems
• Creates secure and high-quality production code and maintains algorithms that run synchronously with appropriate systems
• Produce architecture and design artifacts for complex data platforms and pipelines, ensuring design constraints are met throughout software code development
• Build and maintain end-to-end data pipelines, including ingestion, transformation, quality, and reliability
• Enables downstream analytics and BI consumers through well designed pipelines
• Gathers, analyzes, synthesizes, and develops visualizations and reporting from large, diverse data sets in service of continuous improvement of software applications and systems
• Proactively identifies hidden problems and patterns in data and uses these insights to drive improvements to coding hygiene and system architecture
• Contributes to software engineering communities of practice and events that explore new and emerging technologies
• Adds to team culture of diversity, opportunity, inclusion, and respect
